Kama currently teaches SUP Yoga - Gentle SUP Yoga and Extreme SUP Yoga - classes and private sessions on Oceanside Harbor, or your preferred pool or hotel in Southern California (December - May). She tailors each class and private session to you and your needs that day. Each experience is guided from her knowledge of anatomy, and experience in challenging variations and gentle adaptations of yoga poses for SUP. Whether taking it easy or challenging your balance in every pose, SUP Yoga helps you awaken micro-muscles for safety in exercise and daily life, and all-around strength and stability.
For Kama, SUP Yoga is about centering in-the-moment, enjoying the experience of being in nature - not about doing fancy poses. If you've done yoga before, SUP Yoga is totally different, and if you're a total yoga newbie, you'll start out with the advantage of learning in a beautiful natural setting. Static Poses and Slow-flow Sequences on wide, stable, securely anchored, soft-top yoga boards offer balance and flexibility training for any level yoga or SUP enthusiast. No experience necessary. If you haven't tried yoga or SUP before, this is a great way to start!
Sessions begin with a quick intro to paddling to get you out on the water. Then we head out and anchor to start yoga! Simple pose progressions for absolute beginner up to any level of experience, from prone & supine stretching and yoga/pilates exercises, to seated poses and stretches, to stabilizing exercises on all fours, and options for kneeling and/or standing poses if desired. It's easier than it looks, it feels great, and Kama makes sure everyone feels comfortable and challenged. Try SUP Yoga with Kama this summer!
Private SUP Yoga lessons are available on a flexible schedule - for you, or bring a pal. Boards, paddles, and anchors included - or bring your own to include more friends. Mornings and evenings usually offer the most peaceful waters for SUP Yoga. Email Kama to book an hour of bliss on the water.

Kama Prana is an RYT-500. She received her yoga teacher certifications from Yandara Yoga Institute.
